On the 79th anniversary of Postal and Telecommunications Service Day, themed “Nusantara Digital for Advanced Indonesia,” the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, awarded the Satyalancana Wira Karya honor to professionals in the postal and telecommunications sector who have made significant contributions to the industry’s growth. Two employees of PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata), Chief Enterprise & Business Officer Feby Sallyanto and Program Owner Sisternet Adelia Panjaitan, received this prestigious award during a ceremony held in Bandung on Friday (27/9). XL Axiata was the only company to receive two Satyalancana awards this year, highlighting its prominent role in advancing Indonesia’s telecommunications industry.
The event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Communication and Informatics, Nezar Patria, who emphasized that the award not only celebrates individual dedication but also serves as an encouragement to accelerate digital transformation across various sectors of society. He highlighted the importance of maintaining a spirit of innovation to respond to the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Dian Siswarini, President Director & CEO of XL Axiata, expressed her pride in this achievement. “This award is a testament to our team’s relentless efforts in building a robust digital ecosystem. We hope it inspires all our employees to continue making meaningful contributions to the advancement of Indonesia’s telecommunications sector,” Dian said.
The recognition was achieved through two key programs: XCamp and Sisternet. XCamp is an Internet of Things (IoT) laboratory aimed at providing education and training for young talents, including students and university graduates. The program focuses on equipping participants with relevant technological skills, offering comprehensive guidance, and fostering a more inclusive digital ecosystem. This initiative aligns with XL Axiata’s commitment to preparing young Indonesian talents for the digital era.
Meanwhile, Sisternet has been recognized for its role in empowering women through digital literacy and business development support. The program offers training, mentoring, and various capacity-building initiatives designed to boost women’s confidence in utilizing technology to improve their quality of life. It also encourages women to play a more active role in the digital economy.

The Satyalancana Wira Karya awarded to XL Axiata’s employees holds special significance, particularly for Adelia Panjaitan, one of the few female recipients of this honor. This milestone underscores XL Axiata’s commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace and empowering women to take on more prominent roles in Indonesia’s telecommunications and technology sectors.
